Do you have questions?
We have answers

How to make my CV appealing?

Your CV is the first thing our recruitment team will see from you, which is why it’s important to make it appealing! To do so, here are a few tips:

  • Make it clear, structured and keep it simple. The key is that the recruiter can understand your overall your career path without going into a detailed reading.
  • For your professional experiences and education, keep it chronological and in the same format (ex: Year - Company/School - Name of position/Degree).
  • Avoid putting too much information. Only describe the main responsibilities and achievements that are relevant to the position you’re applying for. Don’t add too many logos, pictures or colors that could make the CV complicated to read.

For other skills such as languages, provide a clear level that exists (ex: TOEIC grade, “Bilingual” /“Fully proficient”), not percentage or grade that doesn’t mean the same thing for everyone.

What is the recruitment process?

At Selectra we have two types of recruitment processes: one for sales positions and one for support positions.

Overall, our sales recruitment process is the following:

  • An initial HR interview with one of our recruiters to assess your motivation, soft skills and to talk more about the position and company (≃ 30 minutes).
  • A second interview to put you in the shoes of a sales agent at Selectra. A role play with one of our recruiters may take place. It allows you to have a better understanding of the position and enables us to assess your sales skills.
  • In some cases we may ask you for references.
  • it's possible that the process you're taking part in is slightly different.

Our support recruitment process is as followed:

  • An initial HR interview with one of our recruiters to assess your motivation, soft skills and to talk more about the position and company (≃ 30 minutes).
  • A test (linked to the position you applied for).
  • An interview with your potential future manager to get to know you better, talk about your past experiences and your expectations. This is a good moment for us to assess your hard skills, and for you to ask precise questions about the position, the team and the company  (≃ an hour).
  • For some positions, a final interview with either your potential N+2 or potential team members will be organized  (≃ an hour).

In some cases we may ask you for references.

Will I have to pass some tests?

You probably will indeed! Whether it’s a case study, a role play or a writing test, we always ask our candidates to take a test. We believe that not only does it help us assess your skills but it also helps you to have a proper understanding of what your responsibilities will look like. It’s a win-win situation in the end!

Which language should I speak to work at Selectra?

Selectra is an international company operating in more than 17 countries, therefore, languages are important. Most of the time we will only require the language used in the market you will work for. However, to make sure you can communicate with your colleagues, having another language such as English or Spanish is a real plus. Overall, the three big languages used in the company are English, Spanish and French. We provide free language classes to make sure you settle in smoothly. Listo?

How long does the recruitment process last?

It depends on the recruitment process and position of course, but we try to be as reactive as possible and you’ll always get a response from us within two weeks. We’ve all been candidates and we know how frustrating it can be not to receive an answer so we always try to be as transparent, constructive and sensible as possible, even in the event of a negative answer.
